Comparing Diode and Alexandrite Laser Methods

Diode
The Diode Laser emits an amplified monochromatic light beam with a wavelength of 810 nm, which is longer than that emitted by Alexandrite (755 nm). The result of this is deeper penetration into the skin without affecting the surrounding tissues. At the same time, however, melanin is avoided. The way this technology is designed allows it to respond well to all skin types (even sun-tanned or dark Mediterranean skin) on fine and coarse hairs as well as all areas of the body such as face, arms, underarms, back, back, apron, chest, bikini.
Alexandrite
Alexandrite Laser can be applied to all areas of the body and is based on the theory of selective photothermolysis. Specifically, a 755 nm wavelength of the light beam causes energy to be absorbed by the hair’s melanin, destroying its hair follicle. This destroys the root and stops the formation of new hair from the same root, leaving the melanin unaffected.
What are the advantages of Diode Laser?
- Diode laser is considered safe and suitable for people of all ages and genders but also for hair with a larger volume (e.g. male hair).
- Less number of applications, therefore faster results.
- Less discomfort compared to some other hair removal methods.

- Faster results, as in some cases with the application of 4-5 sessions of Laser Alexandrite we can have an almost complete elimination of hair.
